We collect different information depending on which service you use:

Editor service:

• No editor data collected: The editor stores all your projects, source media, autosave, undo history, and exports on your device only. Skrrol does not receive or store any editor content.

Generators and account:

• Account Information: Name, email address, and profile data provided during sign-up through our authentication provider (Clerk).
• Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, generation history, timestamps, and device/browser information collected automatically.
• Payment Information: Subscription and payment details processed securely by our payment provider (Dodo Payments). We do not store your full credit card numbers.
• Generated Content: Images and videos you create using the generators, along with the prompts and parameters used to generate them.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• To process subscriptions, payments, and AI credit transactions
• To display your generation history within your account
• To improve the Service and develop new features
• To communicate important updates, security alerts, and support messages
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service

4. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate the platform. These services may process your data in accordance with their own privacy policies:

• Clerk— Authentication and user management
• Google Gemini (Imagen, Veo)— AI image and video generation
• OpenAI (GPT Image, DALL·E)— AI image generation and editing
• Dodo Payments— Subscription billing and payment processing
• Vercel— Hosting and infrastructure

5. Editor Data Privacy

All editor data—projects, source media, autosave, undo history, thumbnails, waveforms, and exports—is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage (OPFS and IndexedDB). This data never leaves your device. We do not have access to it, nor do we collect, upload, transmit, back up, or analyze it. You can delete editor data at any time via your browser storage settings or the in-app project deletion options.

6. No Analytics from the Editor

The editor does not send analytics, error tracking, or telemetry to Skrrol servers or any third party. No events containing your projects, media, or usage patterns within the editor are collected.

7. AI Content & Training

Skrrol does not use your generated content or editor projects to train AI models. However, the underlying AI providers for the generators (Google Gemini, OpenAI, and others) may have their own data retention and usage policies. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies for details on how they handle data processed through their APIs.

8. Cookies & Local Storage

We use cookies and browser local storage for essential functionality including authentication sessions, user preferences, and PWA installation state. In the editor, local storage is used exclusively for storing your projects and media on your device. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Data Retention

We retain your account data and generator history for as long as your account is active. Editor data is retained only on your device and is under your control. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where we are required to retain it by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.

10. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption, secure authentication, and access controls. Editor data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted over the Internet. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to access the personal data we hold about you
• Right to request correction of inaccurate data
• Right to request deletion of your data
• Right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
